Special Notices - Exciting New Web 2.0 Gallery Feature

Dearest users of Speed Coin Gallery website, it brings me the most joyous of happy happy pleasures to announce the new implementation of a fully Web 2.0 compatible Gallery Section. After months of planning in conjunction with the former (now disgraced) web developer, Kostantin Ilyin, Speed Coin finally launches it's first Artist Gallery: Carl Morris'.

Due to many problems in Mr. Ilyin's code (which as I have previously stated is web 1.47 at best and certainly not 2.0 or even 1.7 as he has tried to convince me of in private email correspondence) the entire process has taken considerably longer than we had hoped since it proved necessary to rework both the abstract base class foundations along with CRUD scaffolds and the relational database schema. On tying these revisions in with a properly planned inheritance hierarchy, there is now a robust framework upon which we can build in future months to add many more Web 2.0 features.

Please be advised to see in a short time frame:

Social Bookmark Hotlinks

Rating Buttons

Comment Forms

Others...

To give you a taster of things to come, you can visit Carl Morris' new gallery by clicking Carl's name.

Special Notices - Exciting employment opportunity

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Speed Coin (gallery) is delighted to announce its 2008–2009 internship opportunities for college and graduate students interested in art careers, which may lead to permanent employment at Speed Coin or other career opportunities. Based upon their academic training and interests, as well as the availability of projects, interns work in one of Speed Coin's departments; curatorial, public relations or administrative. Most curatorial projects require a strong knowledge of contemporary art. Applicants of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Interns have unprecedented access to the Speed Coin archive and to other collections in the London area. All internships commence with a one-week orientation. Orientation involves an introduction to the curatorial, public relations or administrative structure of the gallery, participation in professional development workshops and visits to private London galleries.

How to apply

Please send Sophie an email (<a href=mailto:sophie@speedcoin.co.uk">sophie@speedcoin.co.uk) with your CV attached telling us why you think that you are perfect for Speed Coin's internship program.
